CAIFAN
A typeface that became part of my identity.
A typeface that became part of my identity.
Why I chose it
The Caifán Typeface immediately stood out to me because, well, Caifanes. Their music has been a really meaningful part of my life, especially since 2022. Their lyrics, melodies, and overall vibe carried me through different moments and experiences, and honestly, I feel like their music helped me mature and see things differently.
What I love about Caifanes isn't just the music either. Their whole visual culture and art style caught my attention too. There's something dark, mysterious, almost gothic about it, but at the same time it's incredibly expressive and stands out without trying too hard. That feeling is something I've always been drawn to.
So when I came across the Caifán Typeface, it immediately felt like something I wanted to keep close to me. I chose it as the foundation for my JA logo because it connects something that has genuinely influenced me with something that represents me.
My initials are still JA, but the way they're presented carries a piece of the music, art, memories, and growth that Caifanes has been a part of for me.
It became more than just a typeface. It became my mark.
